If you recently purchased a Blu-ray or are thinking of purchasing one, you have to understand that there can be as easy to set up or connect to your TV / Home entertainment center as you did with your old VCR or a DVD player. This is mainly because the Blu-ray player is forcing manufacturers to change the way they are making TVs and AV receivers, which in these manufacturers to play ball in order to give viewers all the benefits of this new technology.
So in order to obtain the best return on your player Blu-ray, here are some tips or guidelines you need for proper implementation of the player. It also highlights some of the problems you may encounter when adding a Blu-ray player to your home entertainment system.
Get the best image of Blu-ray:
Blu-ray discs are manufactured to work in any TV that has component inputs, whether television is high definition or not. However, to have a Blu-ray player connected to an HDTV (high TV definition) via HDMI or component video inputs allow you to get the full HD experience of Blu-ray. So, although you can do connections to any TV with a minimum of component video inputs, in order to get the Blu-ray high-definition resolution (1080/24p) you really need an HDTV 1080p. HDMI stands for High Definition Multimedia Interface, and is the new standard for transmitting uncompressed digital data from the player to your TV, just make sure that all devices have HDMI outputs or inputs. HDMI cables can be expensive, try to get a global agreement have been included with the product you are buying.
First, you should know the difference between a high definition television (HDTV) and HD ready television, just remember one fundamental difference: if your TV has an integrated digital tuner that is HDTV, you do not have this tuner is HD Ready. Thus, when an HDTV is the HD Ready label, which means a television does not include a tuner for receiving signals over the air in high definition via an antenna. To overcome this problem, if you have HD cable, the picture to supply the service provider will receive the HD signal necessary to provide high definition images on your HDTV. So even if you only have an HD TV Ready to still make it simple to see Blu-ray high definition on it.
Now, after a 720p HDTV is recommended, but an HDTV 1080p would be your best option. This is because all Blu-ray discs are stored on the disc in 1080p at 24 frames per second. You will often see this called 1080p/24p. The original film was shot at this rate and the Blu-Ray format allows you to see the film that the director wanted it to be seen. You should definitely be aware of Blu-Ray couples who were not able to show 1080p/24p. These Blu-ray become a 1080p/24p signal 1080p/60p using the '3: 2 pulldown "technique. This means that a picture is played 3 times and the next is played 2 times and so on. A frame has to be on the screen rather than the other causing a slight error in the signal video, commonly called telecine judder, the image seems a bit abrupt movement.
Most have new Blu-ray output 1080/24 p. But not all TVs can support 1080/24p. So feeding your 1080/24p signal into a television that can not support the result will be the conversion TV the next 50 or 60Hz signal. This also will occur telecine judder or vibration in the image. Fortunately most of the last screen LCD and plasma TVs can now easily handle 1080/24p signal.
For In summary, to obtain the best image quality you need the following:
– Blu-ray output 1080/24p
– The TV can support 1080/24p
– HDMI cable for connection
– For emissions TV-HD you need HD cable service
This will give the best images from cinema to watch movies or TV shows in the comfort of your own house. Happy viewing!
